Suzanne Sebold visual artist

My materials are drawn from domesticity, motherhood, pedagogy, global culture, meditation, and nature, exploring the seen and unseen intersections of a woman’s daily experience. I repurpose objects and pigments from my surroundings and travels, allowing the materials to guide scale and form. These works are created with handmade paint from French pigments on linen that I blend to express color symbolism and material meaning.
I honor personal alignment and cultural connections, while earth and pigments gathered in France deepen the narrative and relationships. Through these elements, I document contemporary society and its' intimate, everyday moments.
